INFORMATION FOR COACHES [PLEASE READ CAREFULLY]
COACH REQUIREMENTS SET BY BOXING CANADA
To ensure a smooth experience, please be advised that all coaches at minimum must be certified in Instruction Beginners in order to corner at Nationals.
To avoid any last-minute certification issues, please log into your Locker account and confirm that you are Instruction Beginners Certified.

- If you are not yet certified, your Locker profile will show which modules still need to be completed. To check this:

Click the grey "i" icon (as shown in the image below).

Select the "Trained" tab on the left side of the screen.
This section will list any outstanding modules. Once all required modules are complete, you’ll be able to submit your evaluation request to Boxing Canada for certification.

All coaches and managers must:
- Be 2025 members of Boxing Canada
- Have completed:
- Respect In Sport for Activity Leaders (english / français); or
- Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation (english / français)
- Meet the below access criteria

The purpose of the Golden Gloves Provincial Championships is to provide Ontario’s Open Class boxers the opportunity to qualify for the 2026 Junior, Youth, U23 Canadian National Championships (tentatively scheduled from May-June 2026. Location TBD. Elite Nationals Championships TBD)
PROVINCIALS IS FOR OPEN CLASS BOXERS ONLY (11 OR MORE BOUTS)*
FEMALE & MALE CATEGORIES:JUNIORS,YOUTH & ELITE
Junior A (U13) (2014-2015) 11 &12 years
Junior B (U15) (2012-2013) 13 & 14 years
Junior C (U17) (2010-2011) 15 & 16 years
Youth (U19) (2008 & 2009) 17 & 18 years
Elite (1986-2007) 19 to 40 years
JUNIOR A & B PARTICIPATION:
Boxers in the Junior A and Junior B divisions may register under the following conditions:
- If registration numbers exceed manageable limits, Junior A will be the first category eliminated, followed by Junior B
- If your bout is eliminated due to capacity, you will receive a full refund.
UPGRADE REQUESTS:
Upgrade requests from Novice to Open Class must be submitted no later than Monday, September 8, 2025. Please click HERE to submit your upgrade request form
Please note: All upgrade requests are subject to committee review and approval, which takes time.
Late requests will not be accepted, and those boxers will not be permitted to compete in the upgraded category
WITHDRAWLS AFTER THE DRAW:
If a boxer withdraws after the tournament schedule has been posted, they will be subject to a $200 fee. This fee helps offset any costs their scheduled opponent may have incurred in preparing for the bout.
Refund Policy:
No refunds will be issued after the draw has been completed unless the boxer was not matched with an opponent

Athlete & Coach Registration Deadline: Wednesday, October 1, 2025 5:00 PM EST
Weight Change Deadline: Friday, October 3, 2025 at 5:00 PM EST
Draw: Monday, October 6,2025 at 1:00 PM EST via Zoom (Link will be sent to registered coaches the day of draw)
DEADLINE TO WITHDRAW FROM TOURNAMENT TO ENSURE FULL REFUND: Sunday, October 5, 2025 before the draw.

Updated medicals to be submitted by Wednesday, October 1, 2025 *Please ensure that all sections of the medical are completed by a licensed medical doctor (MD). The doctor must also sign and stamp to validate medical.
