About La Classique
Since its creation in 2018, La Classique d'athlétisme de Montréal has been an athletics competition open to athletes of all levels, featuring an Elite section with entry standards. In 2025, it is sanctioned by the North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletics Association (NACAC) and is part of the Athletics Canada National Tour. The 2025 Classic will be among the competitions recognized by World Athletics in the Category C or Continental Tour Bronze level. The event will take place on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at the Claude-Robillard Complex. While open to various levels of athletes through its Open, Elite, and Premium sections, the Classic is focused on high-level performance.
We aim to provide athletes with the best possible environment and optimal conditions to achieve superior performances.
Athletes seeking world standards, World Athletics points, personal bests, or simply a good competition will certainly find what they are looking for by participating in La Classique d'athlétisme de Montréal. This collaboration between Saint-Laurent Select and dedicated volunteer teams allowed the Classic to receive the AQ Athletas trophy for Best In-Stadium Competition in 2021. In 2023, the Classic was a finalist for the National Competition of the Year award at the Gala Podium du Conseil du sport de l'Île de Montréal.
